i matched with this guy on tinder and he asked me out on a workout/hottub date. It was awesome, and no sex. Talked for hours and got to know each other. After that its on every other weekend. At first he said he had a place with a roommate and we were going to go there, then at the last minute changed plans and offered to pay for a hotel room; excuse was his roommate was cleaning up and his place was a mess? Next time a big story about his roommate’s girlfriend was pregnant and she’s moving in so he’s planning to move out. He gets us a room every time. We spend all day together and its fun and HOT and we go to dinner and record stores… calls me every day before work and during work. After a month we agree we are only seeing each other….But its weird. He says he wants me to call him, but Sometimes he send me to voicemail then sends a text that he’s picking up his dog from his ex, or he’s in a bad mood and we’ll talk tomorrow. then one weekend 2 month later all of a sudden he says ‘you can cancel if you want but i’m kinda broke’. ‘I say lets not get a room, lets just meet up and do normal date stuff. Fancy hotel not required babe.’ He gets cagey and says, well, I might be out of town, depending on the weather.’ What?? He says he might go to San Jose, but probably not. I’ll call you.’ I remember later he says he used to see a woman in San Jose, 4 months before he met me. I say just let me know. On the day I wait till noon then I call him. Someone answers, listens to me say hello, then hangs up. 20 second call. huh. I run it by a dude friend who says “I bet the roommate thing was him all along. Pregnant girlfriend and you are on the side. he’s playing you.” OMG. I realize then he never calls me when he’s home. Ever. Only in the car on the way to work, or at work, or on the way home. Or on the way to me.
