I met a guy from a dating app. He knew I’m autistic after I began crying but he didn’t know what autism was told me the energy was weird within a few minutes of meeting t and wanted me to leave within two minutes or meeting them told me to leave. Within the first couple minutes, he was rude, asked if I had “mental issues,” pressured me to hold hands, asked for a hug, and called me weird when I didn’t want to hold his hands.
I got overwhelmed and started crying and rubbing my hands. He said my hand rubbing was weirding him out, told me to stop crying, said I creeped him out, and then told me to get out of the car.
I blocked him afterward and deleted my dating apps because I felt humiliated, unsafe, and really shaken. Has anyone dealt with a date reacting this harshly to autism/stimming or anxiety? What would you do after something like this? I was also informed he has a girlfriend and does this quite often.
